Meet Our Team

Jacob Hicks: Owner/Operator of Patriot Plumbing. He holds his plumbing license and RPZ certification. He graduated from Monticello High School in 2006 and took some welding courses at Parkland College. He has done residential, commercial, and service work over the past 17 years. He stays busy but when he has free time, he enjoys spending it with his wife and children. He enjoys short trips and taking the kids on adventures. He also plays on weekly pool league.

Nathan Gulliford: First year apprentice here at Patriot Plumbing. He graduated from Monticello High School in 2018. He had an interest in various trades and worked the past 5 years doing construction at a local company before joining our team. In his free time, he enjoys being active, he played slow pitch softball for 10 years. He enjoys pool league and plays with some of his family. His senior year of high school the football team won state championship. He also enjoys spending time with family, his dogs, and watching football.

Brittany Hicks: Office manager at Patriot Plumbing. She is a Nurse Practitioner by trade but took on this role to help with business operations. She grew up in Indiana but moved to Monticello in 2004. She has a passion for helping others in all avenues of life. Her greatest treasures are her Husband, Jacob of almost 17 years, her dog, and their children. She enjoys spending time playing cards with family and having gatherings. She loves all things outdoors.

Licensed Plumbers

At this time we are a small and growing business. We currently have one licensed plumber, one apprentice, and an office manager. We are rapidly growing and will be adding to our team. Our team together will bring their expertise and professionalism to every job.

Years of Experience

I started my plumbing career right out of high school in 2006. I worked for union and non union employers for roughly 17 years but had always wanted to start my own business. My dream of becoming a business owner came to fruition when I opened Patriot Plumbing in 2022.

Certifications

Our team holds various certifications, ensuring that we stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards. I hold my backflow prevention or RPZ license in the state of Illinois. I also attend yearly continuing education. I like to attend other education regarding new and upcoming products to gain more knowledge.
